Colin W. Kingsbury
Serving as President for HRMDirect since the company's founding in 2003, Colin brings a lifetime of experience from both in and outside of the software industry. Prior to joining HRMDirect, Colin served as CTO for empolis North America, a division of Bertelsmann AG, where he helped direct the development of the empolis Knowledge Management Suite, one of the world's first commercially-deployed applications based on Semantic Web technologies. Colin is an expert in knowledge automation, and has consulted on technology and business practices for Northrop Grumman, Boeing, General Electric, and the US intelligence community. Colin is a graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in Economics, and holds a certificate in Mandarin from the College of Foreign Languages, Beijing. He is also an Alaska-trained seaplane pilot, and writes for several Boston-area publications.
Django Bliss
Django is the Chief Technology Officer at HRM. Since 1995 he has been creating solutions for complex software and hardware problems. From wireless webcasts on mountain tops to designing and building high volume software packages for Fortune 500 companies. As the founder and CTO of HireAbility he created Customer Relationship Management and Applicant Tracking software for companies with a worldwide presence as well as creating distributed grid computing solutions to allow the largest job boards to process millions of resumes per hour. In the early days of the web, he designed and rolled out some of the earliest large-scale database driven auction and real-estate websites. Django believes technology can be understood by anyone and enjoys translating the world of technology into terms that anyone can grasp. When Django is not solving technology problems, you can probably find him backcountry skiing.

Getting Your Forms Online
All HRM Onboarding clients have access to a library of forms including federal and state government forms, plus a variety of forms for direct deposit, emergency contact, and other common processes. Library forms will typically cover 75-100% of forms used by US employers and are included as part of the basic Onboarding license. For the forms we don't already have, HRM will build the form to your exact specifications and incorporate it into your process. That means we create the layout so it looks and prints like a normal form, but the data also goes directly into your database where you want it.
Getting The Data Done Right...The First Time
All HRM forms are linked to a central data store so that users never need to enter the same data more than once, regardless of the number of distinct forms used. Data entry rules prompt the user through the process, ensuring that all required fields are filled out properly. Completed forms can be exported to your HRIS, ERP, or document management system in both PDF and data-only HR-XML and CSV formats for further processing and retention.
Getting The Signatures
All standard and custom Onboarding forms include support for electronic signatures to enable a compliant, paperless process suitable for any purpose including W-4 and I-9 completion. Alternatively, forms which a client wishes to have signed in person can be initially completed online, and then printed for final signature on the new hire's first day.

We'll Prove It
One of our clients hires a mix of hourly and salaried entry-level positions while also targeting A-list technical professionals in a number of highly-competitive markets. Depending on the role, the primary challenge varies from dealing with hundreds of applicants to attracting as many as they can. With HRM Recruiting, here's what their process looks like:

Entry-level applicants are directed to create an online profile by uploading their resume and filling out the company's application form. The resume is parsed to pre-populate the form, increasing the number of completed applications and screening questions specific to the job are included. The applicant receives a confirmation email with a username and password they can use to update their profile or apply for other openings with the company.
For senior roles, applicants are permitted to simply email their resume as an attachment. HRM Recruiting creates specific addresses for each job, and parses resumes into the system automatically, eliminating manual data input for the recruiter. The applicant receives a confirmation email, containing a link they can click to fill out a full application form or simply complete an EEO compliance survey. This ensures compliance while making the initial application process as inviting as possible.
For current employees, an internal career portal shows openings for which they can apply or refer friends. If the employee is applying, they're given the company's internal transfer form to complete. Meanwhile, a referral is started simply by uploading a resume, after which a confirmation email is sent to the friend inviting them to complete the application process for that job as any other external candidate would. Of course, all referrals are tracked by source with reports for goal tracking.

Hiring Manager Feedback: Effortless and Intuitive
Collecting feedback on resumes and interviews can be one of the most frustrating parts of a recruiter's daily work.
